Recently, our law enforcement community lost another CLEA member. Officer Joseph Boberg assigned to the San Andreas Office of the California Highway Patrol passed away on September 7, 2021 from complications due to COVID-19.
Officer Boberg, 42, was a 12-year veteran of the California Highway Patrol serving the Monterey and Napa Divisions as well as the San Andreas Division. He is survived by his wife and two children,
Another CHP brethren who was a CLEA member encouraged Officer Boberg to sign up for CLEA’s Long Term Disability plan. As a result of Officer Boberg’s enrollment, his family will be provided with a $65,000 death benefit. CLEA provided an immediate check for $15,000 to his spouse within two days of his death. His wife will receive $1000 monthly checks over the next 50 months.
